I’d like to know why you put so much work into these charts. If you used these concentration powers for the advancement of humankind, I have no doubt you could cure AIDS, Cancer, and Halitosis with a single treatment.
Jeff 05.31.07I think these charts are awesome and I’m glad you make them.
It’d be interesting to see how the number of McDonalds per capita in NYC compares to the number in the rest of the country. I imagine its actually pretty low, just based on the fact that my hometown has several McDonalds and significantly fewer than 40,000 people. Plus all those McDonalds at interstate exits in the middle of nowhere.
J.p. 06.01.07I really wanted to map residents-per-McDonalds nationwide, but I couldn’t find any sources listing McDonalds locations by state. If anyone can point me to that it is chart time.
dorothy 06.01.07I have a friend named David who I told once that Long Island was a myth. (We were looking at a map of the city and Long Island was on the back of the map for some reason.) I thought he realised I was joking until I heard him say one day to someone else, “You know, Long Island is a myth.”
Xoe 07.06.07What? There are parts of NY that don’t have McDonalds? Overall, YEAH!! But in a sad way, I’m kinda disappointed.
Tamara 07.24.07McD’s recently developed a “Happiest Cities in America” award… and instantly I imagined that a regression or map would probably show the happiest cities are those with the least McDonalds per population? Anyone want to run with it, or point towards the data?
