Hooters?

Seriously, Texas? Hooters?

And I didn’t know Oz was actually in Louisiana.

Help Help! I can’t read Rhode Island, and I’m really curious about what it says there.

The “home” missed connections from W4M are just a little be depressing.

At first I missed the fact that the captions are over, rather than under, the maps and I thought the Oregon missed connection at the Silverado was M4W rather than M4M, and I thought–wow!

I blogged about this in the blog given in the “website” field, and used one of the pictures. I hope that is okay. Let me know if it isn’t!

Thanks for doing this, this is awesome. Really cool to see (and to think about as well).

Oz, is, in fact not only in Louisiana but in New Orleans, on Bourbon Street:

(also FYI, St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans is a popular place to go jogging.)

Having read a fair amount of the Los Angeles Missed Connection, I really think that the Trader Joe’s in Silverlake ought to get some kind of honorary mention.

This is fantastic. I’m part of a data vizualization group in Portland, Oregon. We’re wondering if this was hand-drawn or computer generated.

Hand-computer-generated.

Very cool visualization of the missed connections ads. And funny to see the differences on a map. Who would have thought that?
For our German readers: you can always find themes about missed connection on my blog:
